Charlie Nesbitt and Lee Jackson delivered another string of points-scoring finishes for MasterMac Honda over the weekend as the 2024 Bennetts British Superbike Championship drew to a close at Brands Hatch.

A mixed weekend for the team began with Jackson overcoming a spectacular crash in qualifying to get back on board and secure an excellent second place on the grid.

That turned out to be Saturday’s highlight as the team struggled in testing wet conditions after taking a gamble on tyre choice for the opening race, with Jackson finishing 13th and teammate Nesbitt crashing out.

Those performances meant both riders were well back on the grid for Sunday’s sprint race, but Nesbitt produced an impressive ride to finish ninth after starting from 17th, while Jackson came home 12th. The final, 20-lap feature race saw Nesbitt finish eighth and Jackson retire with a technical issue.

It leaves Jackson seventh in the final riders’ championship standings, with Nesbitt 11th.

Steve Hicken, team manager, said:

“We had a few ups and downs over the weekend but ultimately took away a decent points haul and some positives to end the season on.
“Looking back on the season as a whole, I think Charlie, Lee and everyone involved with the team can be proud of what we’ve achieved together.
“We’ve been particularly strong in the second half of the season, when we’ve regularly been challenging for the top five  - and Lee and Charlie’s double podium at Cadwell Park will live long in the memory.
“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone in the team, our fantastic sponsors and fans for helping to make it all possible. We’ll be back in Bennetts BSB next season aiming to build on this year’s successes and we look forward to seeing you back at trackside then.”

The 2025 season kicks off at Oulton Park next May and we will be in touch during the close season to update you on our plans.
